Special Youth Outreach Program and Educator’s Benefit Program

We are offering a special opportunity to high school students to attend the Negotiation & Leadership Conference 2011. We have created a new experimental program for high school students, particularly those in the public schools and in the urban community. This program is geared towards exposing the youth not only to the Harvard academic environment so that they can aspire to achieve a great education for themselves but to also expose them to the same tools and techniques that Academia and Corporate America is using in negotiations and conflict resolution. We would like to offer a select limited number of such students the chance to attend the event for free including lunch and refreshments. The students should have a teacher or administrator from their school or program as their overseer at the event (who will be provided with a complimentary ticket). The selected students should be those who show promise/potential and want to learn more about the subject matter.

Of particular interest to students will be a special emerging leaders panel that will focus on social media intelligence, entrepreneurship, technology. This panel will feature awe-inspiring speakers such as Harvard’s own Divya Narendra (an originator of the social networking idea that led to the founding of Facebook at Harvard College and who was featured in the film “The Social Network”) as well as Bentley’s rising technology star Mark Bao, who recently started and sold the social media platform, Threewords.me, as an acquisition at only 19 years of age. In addition, there will be a special exclusive screening of the international short film “Paper Flower” with later opportunity for discussion with the young award-winning director/producer, Brent Green, who combines social responsibility, social entrepreneurship and social intelligence with his film-making projects shot all over the world. Dr. Nigel Clarke, Oxford Rhodes Scholar and COO of the International Conglomerate, The Musson Group, and the youngest person to sit on the central Bank of Jamaica board of directors, will also be making a presentation from an international/global perspective. These emerging leaders will motivate the youth to achieve their potential at a young age. If you would like to sign up your students or get more information about the youth outreach program, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can facilitate your registration for the conference in a timely manner.

For teachers, employees or administrators that would like to attend the event, we also have a special educators benefit discount program which involves a 25%
discount off the ticket price for individual teachers or employees of schools or programs. Those who register by April 13th will get an additional early-bird discount, have a chance to win exciting prizes including book giveaways and a spectacular vacation giveaway from Sandals Resorts, and receive a free SEI, Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence Assessment “Strengths Report” as a precursor to the “emotional intelligence” training & assessment workshop. This alone (aside from the strong program of panels and presentations throughout the day) is a tremendous value-added opportunity for any attendee, whether student or professional. This training and assessment can customarily cost thousands of dollars for corporate clients but is included for free for those who register for and attend the event.
